requirements & skills

you must be competent and qualified to both drive and manoeuvre all types of vehicles, good at problem solving, have technical skills and be proficient in customer service, good at Teamwork and be confident to work alone, excellent at organisational support and have natural adaptability. You must have dependability and fully aware of and comply with Safety and Security procedures. Reasoning Ability is a useful asset along with computer skills. Certificates of driving excellence and clean Licenses are very important, though some leniency will be shown for blemished driving records. Awareness of the work Environment is critical as is acceptance of the physical demands, including tolerance of long hours, weather conditions and the need to communicate with all your colleagues regularly, clearly and effectively.

you will part of a young, dynamic and fun team, who work as a unit to deliver the most sensational service to the customer at private HNW client events, VIP events and product launches as well as commercial venues such as hotels and casinos. you will meet a variety friendly, diverse and celebrity clients and a fascinating mix of vehicles. we offer flexible working, allowing you to work as much or as little as you like, on days and at times that suit you. starting pay is from £17 per hour, paid at the end of all events (for static, long term projects payment methods differ) and we will include free transport in a, generally no more than 1 year old, car to and from the collection point to events, a fully laundered and fresh uniform, including shirt, trousers, tie, waistcoat, body-warmer, waterproof jacket and face-mask, along with hand sanitisers and inspection gloves if required (though you will need to provide suitable black shoes). We provide chilled (in our own mobile fridge) drinks and snacks throughout events and (depending upon the length of the event) at least one meal. we provide free overnight accommodation and breakfast (depending upon the length of the event), suitable training and event information for you to understand and complete the project you are assigned to. (for events: static projects receive the same pay, though different facilities).

position summary

the primary purpose of this position is to ensure parkers provide the highest level of service to the management and guests of the assigned project/account. This includes conducting and passing suitable training, showing discipline and accountability of your parking and other tasks, establishing and maintaining relationships with the client/associates/management of each assigned project/account, as well as working shifts, including, but not limited to, proper key handling and safe/efficient parking and retrieval of vehicles, etc. The position is considered a critical position and staffs the largest and most complex locations in the UK and potentially abroad.

* be familiar with the valet schedule for the assigned project/account

* ensure you are compliant on all on-boarding tasks, as well as properly trained/certified before working your (first) shift on each assigned project/account

* booking, scheduling, and billing private events (where applicable)

* maintain a work friendly atmosphere and a team environment

* maintain a strong level of communication with associates and clients

* anticipate client needs and resolve customer issues proactively or in a timely manner

* ensure you maintain high levels of customer service, while having a uniformed, professional appearance, and following company procedures

* attend all necessary client meetings

* being prepared for on-call problem solving throughout the assigned project/account

work environment - the work environment characteristics described are representative of those a parker encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. while performing the duties of this job, parkers are is regularly exposed to outdoor weather conditions; extreme cold and extreme heat. parkers are frequently exposed to wet or humid conditions. the work environment can be noisy and will be surrounded by moving vehicles driven by employees and the general public.

physical demands - the physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an parker to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and Ability to adjust focus. parkers must be able to lift up to 50 lbs as needed.

while performing the duties of this job, parkers are regularly required to stand for up to 8 hours or more at a time, and be physically able to run to and from vehicles and parking areas multiple times (though electric scooters may be provided) during a shift. the ability to quickly get in and out of many different types and sizes of vehicles during a shift is required. parkers are required to verbally communicate (potentially via handheld radios), as well as have the ability to hear clearly in often noisy and chaotic environments.
